This is also the same tire set-up that Cup teams have run at the last two races at Kansas and April 2013 and October 2012. As on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners on all four tire positions at Michigan. Air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.

Notes: Teams in both NASCAR series in action at Michigan this weekend will run the same right side tire code (D-4560), though they will run different left-side codes. The Camping World Truck Series’ left side code is D-4554, and is the same left side that truck teams ran at Michigan last August. This is the first time they have run this right side tire at Michigan. Compared to what they ran at this track last year, this right side features just a slight reduction in gage (tread thickness). Truck Series teams did run this exact combination of left and right side tires at Kansas earlier this season. As on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners on all four tire positions at Michigan. Air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.

This is the same tire that Nationwide teams ran at their two other road course races -- Watkins Glen last week and Road America in June. As on all NASCAR road courses, teams will not run inner liners in their tires at Mid-Ohio.
Wet Weather Tires: Goodyear will also bring 700 wet weather radials (D-4215) to Mid-Ohio for use by Nationwide Series teams, should NASCAR decide that conditions warrant.
