While teams in both NASCAR series in action at Kansas this weekend will run the same Goodyear tire code on the right-side (D-4560), they will run different left-side codes. The left-side code for Sprint Cup teams is D-4558. This is the same combination of left and right side tires that Sprint Cup teams ran at Kansas after it was repaved for last October. It is also the same tire set-up that Cup teams ran at Michigan last August. As on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Kansas. Air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.
