NASCAR Driver Statistics - Party in the Pocono's 400

Not all teams announce their weekly race previews'. Here is a list of those teams that do reveal the information in the teams race preview: 

#1- Jamie McMurray -  Making his 20th start at Pocono Raceway this weekend, McMurray has completed 3,664 laps of a possible 3,772 laps at the “Tricky Triangle”, having led 20 laps.  McMurray has earned four top-10s, has an average start of 16.8 and an average finish of 21.4.  McMurray started from the pole at the 2.5-mile tri-oval in 2005 and his best finish was ninth in 2004 and 2008.  McMurray has 14 lead lap finishes in 20 races at Pocono, including eight of the last ten.

#2- Brad Keselowski - Keselowski has 6 starts in the Sprint Cup Series at pocono, earning 1 win, 2 top 5's, 2 top 10's and no DNF's. He has led 27 laps and has an average start of 19.5 and an average finish of 14.5.

#5- Kasey Kahne - In 18 NASCAR Sprint Cup starts at Pocono Raceway, Kahne has recorded one win, four top-five finishes and six top-10s. He has two career pole positions at the track and won from the top spot in June 2008 after leading 69 laps. He has completed 99.2 percent of laps attempted and has led 151 laps at the 2.5-mile track. Most recently at Pocono, Kahne finished second there in August 2012. 

#9- Marcos Ambrose - Ambrose has posted two top-10 and three top-15 finishes in his eight starts at the 2.5-mile track. Ambrose showed speed in both events last season. He qualified ninth and fifth and brought home 13th and 10th-place finishes.

#10-Danica Patrick - The Party in the Poconos 400 at Pocono Raceway will mark Danica Patrick’s 24th career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start and her first at Pocono. Patrick has never competed in a race in any series at the 2.5-mile triangle.

#14-Tony Stewart - The Party in the Poconos 400 will mark Stewart’s 514th career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start and his 29th Sprint Cup start at Pocono Raceway. Stewart has two poles, two wins, eight top-threes, 11 top-fives, 20 top-10s and has led a total of 156 laps in his 28 career Sprint Cup starts at Pocono. His average start is 12.4, his average finish is 11.3 and he has a lap completion rate of 97.2 percent.

#15- Clint Bowyer -  In 14 races Bowyer owns one top-five (August 2009) and seven top-10s. On average he starts 20th and finishes 15th. 

#16- Greg Biffle - Biffle has 20 Sprint Cup career starts at Pocono. In 2010 he earned his only victory at the “tricky triangle,” while his other stats include two top-five and four top-10 finishes.

#17- Ricky Stenhouse Jr - Stenhouse has two ARCA starts at Pocono Raceway including one win in 2008. Stenhouse will make his first career Sprint Cup start this weekend at Pocono. Stenhouse Jr. is currently 15th in the point standings, 28 points out of 10th.

#18- Kyle Busch - Busch has four top-fives and five top-10s, and has led a total of 63 laps in 16 career points-paying Sprint Cup starts at Pocono. His average Pocono finish is 19.2.

#20- Matt Kenseth - In 26 Sprint Cup Series career starts at Pocono Raceway, Matt Kenseth has an average finish of 14.3, has completed 4,896 of 4,947 (99.0 percent) career laps, and has led for a total of 54 laps (15 of those laps came in 2012 after the track was repaved.)  Kenseth has earned three top-five and 10 top-10 finishes at the 2.5-mile track.

#22- Joey Logano - Logano has  8 starts at Pocono in Sprint Cup. he has scored 2 poles, 1 win, 1 top 5 and 1 top 10 with no DNF's. He got his win in June of 2012. His average start is 13.250 and average finish is 17.375 with 93 laps led.

#24- Jeff Gordon - Gordon, the all-time lap leader here with 965, is the winningest driver at the 2.5-mile track. Along with his record six victories, Gordon has two poles, 18 top-fives and 28 top-10's at "The Tricky Triangle."

#27- Paul Menard - Menard at "The Tricky Triangle" Menard has 12 starts at Pocono Raceway. His best start of second came in 2011 and best finish of ninth came in 2012. The Wisconsin native has completed 2,105 of 2,168 laps attempted (97.1 percent) at the Pennsylvania track.

#29- Kevin Harvick - Harvick has made 24 starts at the 2.5-mile tri-oval dating back to the 2001 season. During that time, the RCR veteran has collected five-top five and eight top-10 finishes. He holds a 19.8 average starting position coupled with a 14.1 average finishing position, has completed 96.1 percent (4,386 of 4,547) of the laps contested and is credited with five laps led.

#31- Jeff Burton - This weekend's 400-mile event marks Burton's 39th start at the 2.5-mile facility and 669th-career Sprint Cup Series race. Burton has garnered seven top-five and 17 top-10 finishes at the track, leading 104 laps.

#39- Ryan Newman - In 22 Sprint Cup starts at Pocono, Newman has one win, seven top-five finishes and 10 top-10's. Additionally, the 35-year-old from South Bend, Ind., has led 163 laps, has an average starting position of 9.8 and an average finish of 12.4 at the 2.5-mile 
triangle.

#42- Juan Pablo Montoya -   In 12 starts at Pocono Raceway, Montoya has completed 2,069 laps out of 2,168 laps possible or 95.4%.  In his last start at the 2.5-mile track, Montoya started on the pole and finished 20th after rain showers moved through the area and shortened the race. He has tallied one top-five, four top-10s and has an average starting and finishing position of 14.3 and 18.7, respectively.

#43- Aric Almirola - Almirola posted a 28th and 18th-place finish in the June and August races respectively last year. Almirola also has one start in the truck series where he started fifth and finished fourth at the track.

#48- Jimmie Johnson -  Two wins (2004 sweep). Two poles (June 2003 and August 2008). Nine top-five finishes (40.9 percent) and 15 top-10s (68.2 percent) in 22 starts. No DNFs (did not finish). Average start of 9.3 and average finish of 9.0.

#55- Mark Martin - In 52 starts at Pocono, Martin owns seven second-place finishes. He has 20 top-five finishes. He’s led 448 laps and won three poles. 

#78- Kurt Busch - Busch’s two wins at Pocono came in the August races in 2005 and 2007. His overall Pocono record includes: 23 starts, two wins, nine top-fives, 12 top-10s, one pole and 449 laps led. His average start is 11.3 and average finish 16.1.

#88- Dale Earnhardt Jr - In 26 Sprint Cup starts at Pocono Raceway, Earnhardt has recorded one pole position, five top-five finishes and nine top-10s. He has completed 96.9 percent of all the laps he's attempted (4,796 laps of 4,947 total). The 38-year-old driver led laps in both Pocono races in 2012 and has led a total of 151 laps at the 2.5-mile track.

#99- Carl Edwards - In 16 starts at the 2.5-mile track, Edwards has two wins, five top-five and eight top-10 finishes. He has an average start of 19.0 and an average finish of 13.2.
