Notes: Teams in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series will run the same Goodyear tire codes at Bristol this weekend. This is the same combination of left and right-side tires that Sprint Cup teams ran at Bristol last August. This right-side tire code (D-4526) was also run by Cup teams at Bristol last March, and by Nationwide teams at both race weekends at the track in 2012. This left-side tire code (D-4416) has been run by teams in both of these series at Richmond for the past two seasons. As a reminder, since the track surface at Bristol was modified after this race weekend last March, Goodyear held a tire test at the track on June 12-13, 2012. Drivers participating in that test were Clint Bowyer, Jeff Burton and Tony Stewart. Unlike most NASCAR ovals one mile or less in length, on which teams generally do not run inner liners in their tires, teams are required to run liners in their right-side tires only at Bristol. Air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.
