Dover Driver Statistics


Not all teams announce their weekly race previews'. Here is a list of those teams that do reveal the information in the teams race preview: 

#1- Jamie McMurray - McMurray has made 19 NSCS starts at Dover, earning one top-five, five top-10 finishes and 10 top-15 finishes.  He has completed 7,501 laps out of a possible 7,604 or 98.6 percent, and has led 131 laps.  McMurray’s average start is 16.6 and his average finish is 17.6.  His best finish was second in 2006. 

#2- Brad Keselowski - Keselowski has 5 starts at Dover with a best finish of 12th this year in june. He hsa an average start of 18.20 and an average finish of 17.0.

#5- Kasey Kahne - Kahne, driver of the No. 5 Farmers Insurance Chevrolet, has one top-five finish, five top-10s and has led 88 laps in 17 NASCAR Sprint Cup starts at Dover (Del.) International Speedway. He earned his best finish of fourth at the track in this race one year ago and crossed the line ninth in June. Kahne has seven starts inside the top 10 at the one-mile concrete oval.

#9- Marcos Ambrose - The Australian native has one top-five and three top-10 finishes at Dover. His best finish (third) came in last year's spring event and his best start (12th) came in last year's fall race. He has completed 3,016 of 3,200 laps attempted at the one-mile speedway. Ambrose enters this weekend's 400-mile race in 17th place in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series point standings

#14-Tony Stewart - Stewart has two wins, three second-place finishes, 10 top-fives, 15 top-10s and has led a total of 1,072 laps in his 27 career Sprint Cup starts at Dover. His average start is 20.4, his average finish is 13.4 and he has a lap completion rate of 95.8 percent.

#15- Clint Bowyer -  Bowyer will make his 14th NSCS start at Dover International Speedway on Sunday. In his previous 13 starts Bowyer has six top-10 finishes. He finished fifth in June. Bowyer has led a total of 33 laps in his 13 starts, averages a 19th place starting position and finish of 14th.

#16- Greg Biffle -  Biffle has an average starting position of 12 and an average finishing position of 12.2 at the Monster Mile. In 20 Starts Biffle has 1 pole,2 wins, 6 top 5's and 10 top 10 finishes with only 1 DNF.

#17- Matt Kenseth - Kenseth has an average starting position of 16.3 and an average finishing position of 11.8 at Dover, and has achieved two poles, two wins, 13 top-five’s and 18 top-10’s at Dover in the Cup series

#18- Kyle Busch - Busch has tallied two wins, seven top-five and nine top-10 finishes and has led a total of 448 laps in 15 career Sprint Cup starts at Dover. Busch’s average Dover finish is 14.3.

#22- Sam Hornish Jr. - Hornish has six Cup series starts at Dover, with his best finish of 13th coming in May of 2009. 

#24- Jeff Gordon - Gordon has started 39 Cup races at Dover, earning 4 poles, 4 wins, 14 top 5's, 21 top 10s, an average start of 11.718 and an average finish of 12.256. His last win was in June of 2001.

#27- Paul Menard - In 10 previous starts at Dover International Speedway, Menard has finished each contested race and has completed 98.5 percent of his laps (3,947 of 4,000). He has an average starting position of 20.6 coupled with a 20th-place average finishing position. Menard made his best start of third during the 2011 AAA 400 (October) and claimed his best finish of seventh at the September 2010 event.

#29- Kevin Harvick - This weekend’s event at Dover International Speedway marks Harvick’s 423rd career start in the Sprint Cup Series and 24th at the one-mile track. Since 2001, the 36-year-old driver has collected three top-five and 10 top-10 finishes, with his best finish of second coming during the event in June 2012. Harvick maintains a 20.6 average starting position, coupled with a16th-place average finishing position, has completed 98.5 percent (9,064 of 9,204) of laps contested and is credited with 144 laps led.

#31- Jeff Burton - This weekend’s 400-mile event marks Burton’s 38th start at the one-mile facility and 648th-career Sprint Cup Series entry. Burton has garnered one win, eight top-five and 15 top-10 finishes at the track and has led 136 laps.

#36- Dave Blaney - In 22 starts at Dover Blaney has only scored 1 top 10 finish, a 9th place finish in June of 2008. Blaney's average finish at the track is 28.091.

#39- Ryan Newman - The AAA 400 will mark Newman’s 397th career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start his 22nd Sprint Cup start at Dover International Speedway. Newman has three wins, four poles, six top-five finishes and 11 top-10s in 21 starts at Dover.

#42- Juan Pablo Montoya - In his NSCS career, Montoya has made 11 starts at Dover.  He has one top-five finish, two top-tens, with his highest finish of second in 2009.  He has completed 4,109 laps out of a possible 4,400 laps, or 93.4 percent, and has led five laps.  Montoya’s average start at Dover is 18.2, while his average finish is 23.4

#43- Aric Almirola - Almirola's only start at the Monster Mile came this year in June, he started 12th and finished 6th.

#48- Jimmie Johnson - At the Monster Mile, Johnson has seven wins (June and September 2002, September 2005, June and September 2009, September 2010 and June 2012), three poles (September 2009 and 2010, June 2011), 10 top-five finishes (47.6 percent) and 15 top-10s (71.4 percent) in 21 starts, two DNFs (did not finish – June 2003 and 2004), and an average start of 9.7 and average finish of 8.9.

#51- Kurt Busch - Kurt Busch has made 24 Cup series starts at Dover, earning 1 win,6 top 5's, 8 top 10's with an average start of 10.417 and an average finish of 18.167. His one victory  was scored in October of 2011.

#55- Mark Martin -  In 52 Sprint Cup starts at Dover, Martin owns four victories and 23 top-5 finishes. He’s led 1,769 laps. He’s won five poles at Dover including the pole in June.

#88- Dale Earnhardt Jr -  In 25 Cup starts at Dover International Speedway, Earnhardt has one win, five top-five finishes and eight top-10s. He has led 368 laps and completed 99 percent of all laps he's attempted (9,907 of 10,004 total) at the Monster Mile.

#99- Carl Edwards - In 16 starts at the one-mile track, Edwards has one win, seven top-five and 11 top-10 finishes. Edwards scored his only Cup win there in Sept. ’07. He has an average start of 15.0 and an average finish of 8.5.
