Not all teams announce their weekly race chassis'. Here is a list of those teams that do reveal the chassis in the teams race preview:
#1- Jamie McMurray - Crew Chief Kevin “Bono” Manion and the No. 1 Bass Pro Shops team will bring Chassis #1208 to Kansas Speedway this weekend. This chassis has raced this season at Las Vegas, Kansas and both races at Michigan with the best finish of eighth (Las Vegas).
#2- Brad Keselowski - The No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger team willrace chassis PRS-832 during Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway. Keselowski last raced this chassis to a victory at Chicagoland Speedway in the opening race to the Chase for the Championship.
#5- Kasey Kahne - For Sunday’s race at Kansas, crew chief Kenny Francis has selected Hendrick Motorsports Chassis No. 5-724. In four starts, this car has scored three top-three finishes, including a win at the 1.5-mile Charlotte Motor Speedway in May.
#9- Marcos Ambrose - The No. 9 RPM team has prepared chassis No. 784 for this weekend's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway. This Black & Decker Ford was run previously this season at California, Kansas Michigan and Atlanta.
#14-Tony Stewart - Chassis No. 14-735: This car debuted in the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway where Stewart qualified 28th and rallied to score a top-10 finish. Chassis No. 14-735 will make its second career start Sunday at Kansas.
#15- Clint Bowyer - Primary chassis No. 738 raced at Atlanta. Chassis No. 716 is the backup. No. 716 raced earlier this season in Las Vegas, Kansas, Charlotte, Kentucky and Indianapolis. Chassis No. 716’s finished sixth at Las Vegas.
#16- Greg Biffle - Primary: RK-825, Brand new chassis. Backup: RK-817 Last ran Charlotte – finished 4th
#17- Matt Kenseth - This weekend at Kansas, Kenseth will pilot the No. 17 Zest Ford Fusion, Primary chassis: RK-826, a brand new chassis.
#22- Sam Hornish Jr. - Hornish and the Penske Racing No. 22 Team will be utilizing the "PRS-818" in this weekend's Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway. This car was first raced by teammate Brad Keselowski in the April Martinsville race (started seventh & finish ninth). It was also the No. 2 team's primary car in the first Pocono race (started 31st & finished 18th) and the September Atlanta race (start 21st & finished third). The "PRS-819" Shell-Pennzoil Dodge Charger in the testing this weekend at Kansas. It will serve as the backup for the Sunday race. It is the car that AJ Allmendinger raced in the Martinsville race (finished second after starting 27th).
#24- Jeff Gordon - Gordon will race HMS chassis 24-712 this week at Kansas. the car finished 26th at Fontana, fourth at Texas, 35th at Darlington, 13th at June Dover, fifth at Kentucky and third at August Bristol in 2012.
#27- Paul Menard - Paul Menard will pilot Chassis No. 351 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable in this weekend’s Kansas 400. This Chevrolet was last raced at Atlanta Motor Speedway in September, where Menard started 18th and finished eighth. This chassis was also utilized in numerous test sessions this year and was raced last season at Texas Motor Speedway (April – started 19th/finished fifth), Kansas Speedway (June – started ninth/finished 19th) and Dover International Speedway (October – started third/ finished 16th).
#29- Kevin Harvick - Kevin Harvick will pilot Chassis No.378 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable in the Kansas 400. The No. 29 team utilized this car twice during the 2011 season at Chicagoland Speedway in September (started 30th, finished second) and Kansas Speedway in October (started 14th, finished sixth). Harvick drove this Chevrolet in 2012 to a sixth-place finish at Kansas Speedway in April, a 10th-place result at Michigan International Speedway in June, and most recently a fifth-place finish at Atlanta Motor Speedway in September.
#31- Jeff Burton - Jeff Burton will race chassis No. 393 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable. This No. 31 Chevrolet has been utilized four times during the 2012 NSCS season at Auto Club Speedway in March (started-19th, finished-22nd), Darlington Raceway in May (started-10th, finished-18th), Michigan International Speedway in August (started-32nd, finished-19th) and Atlanta Motor Speedway in September (started-26th, finished-12th).
#39- Ryan Newman - Chassis No. 39-733: It’s been five starts and four top-10 finishes for Chassis No. 39-733 since making its debut at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in July. At Indianapolis, Newman and his team overcame ill handling and used quick pit work to help engineer a run into the top-10. The crew turned the car around in just a couple of days and took the same chassis to Pocono (Pa.) Raceway, where it finished sixth. Two weeks later, the chassis was back on track at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, where it finished eighth. The chassis earned its first top-five finish at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Ill. The chassis last raced three weeks ago at Dover (Del.) International Speedway. Newman ualified eighth but got bitten by an untimely caution flag, which pinned him a lap down to the leaders. He finished 21st, No. 39-733’s only finish outside the top-10 to date.
#42- Juan Pablo Montoya - Crew Chief Chris “Shine” Heroy and the No. 42 Target team will bring Chassis #1205 to Kansas Speedway this weekend. This chassis raced previously at Las Vegas, Kansas and Kentucky with the best finish being 14th (Kentucky).
#43- Aric Almirola - The No. 43 team has prepared chassis No. 783 for Kansas. This chassis was last run at Michigan in August. It is also the car in which Almirola captured the pole at Charlotte in May.
#48- Jimmie Johnson - Chassis No. 728 serves as the primary for Johnson at Kansas, it finished 2nd at Chicago and 1st at Indy this year and won at Dover in June 2011. Chassis No. 681 serves as the backup. The backup raced 5 times in 2012 winning at Darlington in May and 4 times in 2011 winning at Kansas in October.
#55- Mark Martin - Primary chassis 726 raced at California, Darlington and Indy. Backup chassis 722 raced at Bristol inAug. and the All Star Race.
#99- Carl Edwards - The Fastenal Blue Team will be bringing chassis RK-827 to Kansas. This is a brand new car.
