Notes: Teams in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series will run the same tire codes at Phoenix this weekend. This is the first time either of these two tire codes have been raced. This tire set-up came out of a test at Phoenix last October 23-24. Teams and drivers participating in that test were the #1 Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing Chevrolet with Jamie McMurray, #2 Penske Racing Ford with Brad Keselowski, #11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota with Denny Hamlin, #14 Stewart-Haas Racing Chevrolet with Tony Stewart, #27 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet with Paul Menard, #78 Furniture Row Racing Chevrolet with Kurt Busch and #99 Roush-Fenway Racing Ford with Carl Edwards. Compared to what was run at Phoenix last year, this set-up features a compound change to both the left- and right-side tires to give the cars more grip. As on most NASCAR ovals one mile or less in length, teams will not run inner liners in their tires at Phoenix.
